Economic Development

Świdnica is one of the most dynamically developing towns in Poland. The development of entrepreneurship is based on merchants’ traditions of the town, a strong group of local entrepreneurs and spectacular external investments.

Since April 2004 there has been a subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “Invest – Park” in the town. It occupies nearly 150 ha of the area where investors from Europe, America and Asia located several investments of a production nature. External investments and investments of native companies confirm the position of the town as an investor – friendly place, thus encouraging other entrepreneurs to locate their businesses in Świdnica. Yet, they positively influence cooperation among investors and local companies. The acquired investments contribute to the development of markets in different sectors, causing a trade, construction (including housing), services and tourism to become a perspective direction of Świdnica's development.

Yet the best economic showpieces of Świdnica are its investors, both international as well as local ones. Here are some examples:

Nifco Poland Sp. z o.o. (Japanese Investor), Electrolux Polska Sp. z o.o. (Swedish Investor), Colgate – Palmolive Manufacturing Poland Sp. z o.o. (American Investor), Klingenburg International Sp. z o.o. (German Investor), Sonel S.A. (Polish Investor), Galess (Polish Investor).
